Donald Trump Pleads Not Guilty to Charges of Attempting to Overturn the Results of the 2020 US Presidential Election in Georgia

Washington - Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 United States (US) Presidential Election in the State of Georgia. He also waived his right to appear in court next week.
The former US president is among 19 people charged with conspiracy. He turned himself in to the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta last week, where he was fingerprinted and photographed as prisoner No. P01135809.
"Understanding my rights, I hereby freely and voluntarily waive my right to be present at my arraignment hearing and my right to have my indictment read in open court," read the court document as reported by the BBC, Friday (1/9).
Trump, who is currently the leading Republican presidential candidate for the 2020 US Presidential Election, was recorded as having attended three previous indictment hearings in New York, Florida and Washington DC. In the three separate indictments the surrender and arraignment hearing took place simultaneously, but this is not the case in Georgia, where the surrender and arraignment hearing took place separately.
